Recording percussions on the title track

June 23, 2017

Today we were recording some additional percussions for the title track, it was at John Hadfield‘s NY apartment with a stunning view of the skyline.

I met John for the first concert of my project last Saturday, he’s incredible. We couldn’t rehearse beforehand, we just went over the beginnings of the more complicated songs at soundcheck, and John just did an amazing job! His very unique blend of percussions and drums is a delight to watch and listen and play along.

So you know, I had to have him on the album, since we needed some additional percussions on that track.

Here a beautiful piece of music where you can see his art:

Slight change of plan

May 15, 2017

The drummer we planned to have on the recording had been sick for several days, we had to find a cover last minute for tomorrow. And we found one, Rudy Royston is available and can do the session with us tomorrow, this is incredible! Rudy is just the most amazing drummer, I can’t wait to hear how is gonna interpret my music.
